I don't like rance 01, i love the characters, i love the combat system, i love the comedy, i love rance, but i just HATE how many event i missed, because i never met louis, i cannot save yulan, and i rarely use the manual save But after i finished playing all rance game i will go back to rance 01 and finally get every event

Блин, вроде бы поиграл во множество игр, а потом называешь эту игру лучшей среди других. Я абсолютно соглашусь со всеми, кто эту игру любит, что в ней прекрасно подаётся сюжет, а также по сравнению с другими рогаликами сюжет есть. Но геймплей... Это просто ужасно. Главная проблема - это бесконечное оглушение. Взял копьё, атакуешь врага и всё теперь он постоянно оглушен и не имеет значения, сколько урона ты наносишь, сколько у врага здоровьё, какие атаки он использует, ВСЁ это не имеет значения, так как он обязательно умрёт. Можно ответить: "Есть щит, который защищает от этого оглушения". Да, он есть, но во-первых, он может сломаться, из-за чего можно опять бесконечно оглушать, а во-вторых, у тебя есть двойной рывок, который длится достаточно долго и с помощью которого можно игнорировать любой урон.(а его ещё можно усилить с помощью Гермеса, что просто ломает баланс) И в итоге, если у врага нету брони, то ты просто закликиваешь его, а если есть, то постоянно делаешь рывок. Можно даже не объяснять это, а просто попробовать добавить бесконечное оглушение в любую игру, что её конечно сделает очень простой. Есть ещё некоторые проблемы, но самая главная это вот эта.

Made me feel fucking bad until I realized it didn't fucking matter Luke will die no matter if you cover him or try to go and save him. Ben too don't matter if you save him or not it wouldn't mean anything they will kill him off making that decision a waste of time same with Rebecca the list goes on.

The legendary and the best pirate game of all time! - everytime i play it - i cry, perfect voices, perfect melodies, perfects sound and ambients and the memorable beautifull ships!

I wish the story didn't explain what Saya is of have any backstory for her at all. it's distracting and doesn't strengthen anything. Horror is best when it's stripped down to its bare themes with plenty of mystery for the audience to explore on their own. Complicating it changes the genre.

I remember when I was in the military, I had a buddy who LOVED dating sims. Plus, he grew up in Japan, so he could just order them and play them without translations. Every few weeks he'd call me to say "You've gotta check this one out!" Never could. Romcoms just aren't my thing and I always get bored fast. When the first Muv Luv came out, same thing. "You've gotta play this!" Nah, I'm good. Then he unlocked Unlimited. Still not interested. Since then, Muv Luv was just that dating sim that for some reason has mechs. Then I watched the Alternative anime a couple years back. Then Total Eclipse and Swarchen-whatever. Yes, I'm too lazy to look up the spelling. Now, I've got several of the novels on my PC. Kinda glad I lost contact with him years ago. If I told him how much I loved the series now, I'd never hear the end of "Told you so!"

I've been trying to find peoples videos of Rance because I love this series. It's one of the best really. Once 03 and X are officially translated I'm replaying the canon timeline in order to figure out how I would rank them.

Can we talk about how...uh, distinctive...the music is for this game series? Every time I play a ROM hack of another game that has custom music in it, I'll hear music I've never heard before that has a certain, distinctive feel to it and think to myself "that's from a Touhou Project game, isn't it?" If a music list is attached to the hack, I might then check it to confirm my suspicion, and only rarely have I been wrong. ^^

The problem here is this anime was a homage to the muv-luv franchise and its fans, and they did mention that specific character building details were omitted in order for people to actually go check out the VN itself/manga. The manga for the most part expands on some of the scenes that the VN itself didnt cover, atleast that's what i remembered from it. Also the music used during the chase scene was from Evan call also, title being: Not Dead Yet.

Wow, what a great retrospective. I've felt the tube has been a tad bit lacking lately so i used the trusty search engine and found your vid. This is one of my favorite series in my collection, the first being my favorite. I'm glad to hear that you didn't have nostalgia hovering over your opinion as you stated you didn't grow up playing these games, definitely can help with solidifying an honest and objective opinion. This can be difficult to find but welcoming. You blew my mind when you stated, the 3rd is set between 1 and 2. I've been playing games for close to 40 years and got these during there initial release. I had no idea and will have to look into this more. I do truly appreciate the story but then again, the nostalgia and my age demo my be the culprit as I was born in the early 80's. Great vid and im going to sub to check out the rest of your catalog. Love the mix of reality and editing with the birds. Those birds are relentless. ☝️🙌✨️

Also, for some reason, seems certain Isekaian and some later-reincarnated-healer also have that iconic teal-green cape that Rance dons

good video! its really hard to find videos that discuss this topic that doesnt just take the stance of "its disgusting therefore you are disgusting". im all for freedom of expression and such so it frustrates me when the majority of discussion on this topic is one's own personal distaste for said content. im also soooooo so happy you called out what shadman did as completely unacceptable and just flat out fucking disgusting.

In my opinion i think people misunderstand what the choices are supposed to effect. Yes while the choices don’t completely change your playthrough sending you on a completely different plot, your relationship with characters do change. Everyone has the same plot but everyone has a different story. E.G in season 3 i killed Conrad in EP 2 and didn’t really think much of it. However if you keep him alive he actually becomes one of the better characters in that season. And because I killed him characters like Tripp and Eleanor became distasteful towards me. I understand what the vid is saying but the choices help the story be personalised not radically different. (However I do agree with the gameplay bit like until season 4 it was pretty bad lmao) thank you for reading this comment and plz don’t get mad at me comments this is just my thoughts lol

I love Telltale Games, but they are not games. They are movies, with occasional player input. You can change some aspects of a story but the overall main idea of the story is predetermined, and any choices or changes are minor in the end. They are movies, not games, and I like them for what they are, but truly a large amount of choices don't amount to anything in the end

Great video Two little corrections: While it is true that there are only a few warriors in the King tier for Sword God and Water God. There are around 50 North Kings in the world. The universal rule for all schools seens to be that there are never more than 5 emperors and god tier fighters combined in each school The other thing is that the rule about having to defeat another King to become an Emperor only applies to the Sword God style

YEAH BABY WE'RE HERE! Rance 6 is probably my favorite game in the series. Even in spite of the grind I felt like the story was wonderfully paced and consistently funny. This is where the series started really getting good, and I'm stoked that we might actually see the Rance X translation finished by next year. This is also where the music started getting REALLY good. I streamed this whole series in discord to a few of my friends, and a friend who had no idea what we were doing popped in during Rance 6, with their very first remark being about how great the battle music is.
